Another year goes by...
Well, I made it through another Easter. Thank goodness! This year was a little rough, a little...what's the word I'm looking for..busy. This year the big bosses decided to step up the workload a little bit, which I thought was a bit unnecessary. We can only work so much before our little paws get tired.

I bet the tooth fairies don't have to go through this. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm almost positive they don't. They have a union! I'm going to add that to my list of "Reasons Why Being a Tooth Fairy is 1 Bazillion Times Better Than Being an Easter Bunny".

Here's the list so far:
1. They get wings
2. They get fairy dust
3. They can fly (see reason 1)
4. They get tips
5. They have a union

I'm sure I'll get to 1 bazillion very shortly.

I'm working on a formal list of reasons from DEBA on why discussions like these are bad. So far, I have these official DEBA reasons to not be a tooth fairy:
1. Tooth Fairies don't get a holiday with their name in it.
2. Bunnies will treat you as an outcast and fairies will do the same--you can't change, that's not how this works.
3. Your parent bunnies will disown you.
4. Your friend bunnies will abandon you.
5. You'll never be as good as a real Tooth Fairy.
6. You'll lose access to all of the candy.
7. You won't be the same, and everything will be different.
8. Wings alone won't change your life.

I'll have more reasons soon, but for now please report to your closest DEBA office to receive retraining.

Ack! DEBA is livejournaling now too! Err, not that I think there is anything wrong with that per say. But still I think it's mean to single out fairybun here. ANd to say such mean things! What fairbun wants to do with life is fairybun's choice, not a matter of retraining!

To you fairybun, I wish you the best of luck and hope to see you flying about in no time!

I think it is entirely unfair that the Department of Easter Bunny Affairs has such a dictatorial grip on our lives! [info]fairybun should be allowed to choose which lifestyle to follow!

[info]fairybun, with your permission, I'd like to make a documentary on your life. A few of the other bunnies have suggested it, and I really like to provide close-minded people and organizations like [info]ebaffairs insight into the struggle you already seem to be facing.

I strongly disagree with ebaffairs. whether we are easter bunnies, tooth faries or santa's helpers at the end of the day we are all just magical creatures trying to live our lives. No matter what, fairybun I will support and love you for the magical creature you are inside and I will not judge or chastize you for trying to be yourself. strp those wings on with pride my fairy friend!

Bunnies are born to be Bunnies and you can't change that! Even magical creatures have a specific magical nature and it's *wrong* to try and change it. And Tooth Fairies are lower forms, they're basically just pickup and delivery drivers, whereas Easter Bunnies are immortal spirits who spread the feeling and beauty of Easter and candy.

No, no, no! But when I find out who you are, you'll be reduced to something lower--just a bunny!

Hello nixthebunny,

Sure, I'd love to help you. Anything that would let ebaffairs realize that not everyone feels its "wrong" to try and better yourself.

ebaffairs....yes, threaten me and I'll rush to tell you who I am and report for retraining..you know, it's this kind of pressure that drives bunnies to do strange things. the toothe fairies don't have to deal with this...
